About My Work
I began my dental hygiene career in 1976. Through the years, dental hygiene has allowed me the opportunity to be a part of patients lives by helping them achieve optimal dental health as a part of their overall health. |
About My Family For most of my career, I have practiced dental hygiene part time. This has allowed me the flexibility to participate more in the lives of my family. My husband, Larry, and I have three sons - Nathan, Micah & Philip (PJ). We added a "daughter" in February, 2003, when our oldest son married Kim. Kim recently finished her studies to become a registered nurse. Micah has a Bachelor Degree in architecture and is continuing his studies at Texas Tech. He is scheduled to receive a Masters Degree in architecture and business in the spring of 2007. Our youngest, Philip, is at Deer Park High School. He keeps us busy with marching band and soccer. |
Some of My Interests Most of my "leisure" time is spent supporting the activities that my sons are involved in and participating in the work of my professional association. One of the most "character enhancing" experiences of my life was serving as the President of the Texas Dental Hygienists' Association 2002-2003. |
When I'm not Working
When I am not working, on the job or off, I love camping and crafts. |
